        need to be checked
I found out that I had Staten Island family in the Civil War (Army: 66th (FamilySearch also Wikipedia and NYS), and 132nd (FamilySearch also Wikipedia and NYS), Navy: Stockdale) and will be adding Staten Island Civil War links as I find them.
        • Civil War Medal of Honor Recipients from New York (archive), a terrific page at the NYGenWeb site. You'll find two Staten Islanders.
        • New York State Units - Information on individual regiments, including recruitment area, nickname, various statistics, and other miscellaneous bits. Based on Phisterer's.
        • New York State and the Civil War - a page which covers the state, including some unit descriptions. Lots of links.
        • Where the Men were Obtained - for each NYS county, the units that mustered there.
        • New York Regimental History bibliography (includes links).
        • United States Army Military History Institute
        • I love the Civil War Units contacts at the American Civil War Homepage.
        • G.A.R. Posts in Richmond County
